I’ve always hated running. I think it’s because I played sports so much when I was younger and we were always running, not to mention it always just seemed so boring. Then I got pregnant and put on 80 pounds. I knew running was a great way to lose weight so I decided to start. I couldn’t even run a quarter mile without wanting to die. Then I signed up for my first race, a 4th of July 5K. I trained and trained and finally could run 4 miles non-stop. I crossed that finish line and I was hooked.
I then set my sights on a dream I’ve always had of running a RunDisney race. We picked the princess half marathon, of course, and we started training. I was beyond hooked. I crossed that finish line hand in hand with my hubby and knew I wouldn’t be able to stop running. I then got pregnant with our son but knew I wanted to keep running so my husband was willing to help my fuel my addiction and sign us up for another Disney race, The Wine and Dine half marathon.
As I started my training for this race my IT-Bands started to give me issues, mainly my left one. I was foam rolling like crazy, taking Epsom salt baths and doing everything else I could but I couldn’t get the pain to go away, CobraZol was recommended to me by a friend so I gave it a try.
I used it after my long runs and my workouts at the gym I work at, 9Round Kickboxing, and to say that it has worked great for me would be an understatement. I use it mainly on my left IT-Band, I have pretty bad IT-Band syndrome, and it has been amazing! If it wasn’t for CobraZol there is no way I would have been able to recover from my 20 mile run so quickly. My IT-Bands, my quads, my hamstrings, they all felt so much better after applying the CobraZol. It’s also an all-natural product so I don’t have to worry about what I am putting on my body.
I’m less than a month out from my race, which means a lot of miles and a lot of sore muscles. I’m looking forward to using CobraZol to get me through the tough month I have ahead!
